NEW SIGNING
Joseph arrives at Billesley with an impressive rugby CV, bringing experience from elite university rugby, senior club rugby, the international stage and the professional game.
A product of the Exeter Chiefs Academy from the ages of 15-18, Joseph combined elite rugby with his studies at the University of Exeter, where he represented the university in BUCS Super Rugby while completing a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science.
He then moved to Wales to study for a Master’s degree at Swansea University, once again competing in BUCS Super Rugby while also playing senior rugby for Llanelli RFC in Super Rygbi Cymru.
Following his postgraduate studies, Joseph joined Swansea RFC, where he spent two seasons competing in Super Rygbi Cymru before taking the next step in his career with a move to Portugal. Last season he played professionally for AAC Rugby, gaining valuable experience in a new rugby environment.
Alongside his club career, Joseph has earned international honours with Malta, where his leadership qualities quickly saw him entrusted with the captaincy ahead of the Rugby Europe Conference campaign. Under his leadership, Malta produced an outstanding season, securing victories over Cyprus, Andorra and Israel to top their Conference pool before defeating Austria 39-13 in the promotion play-off to earn a historic place in the Rugby Europe Trophy. Joseph played a key role throughout the campaign, including scoring the opening try in the decisive victory over Austria, underlining both his leadership and impact on the field,
Joseph brings that wealth of experience to Birmingham Moseley, having captained his country, competed across England, Wales and Portugal, and helped Malta achieve one of the most significant successes in their recent history. His quality, leadership and ambition will be a valuable addition to the squad ahead of the new campaign.
