Adam Balding, Birmingham Moseley Director of Rugby, is pleased to report the re-signing of front row members Joe Foreman, David Langley and Ethan Priest.
All three props start their fourth season with the club and each year their performances have ensured they have been ever presents in the playing squad. Joe Foreman, loosehead prop, making 63 appearances, David Langley, tighthead prop, 41 and Ethan Priest loosehead prop, 40. Joe Foreman with the added ability to move to hooker when necessary.
Impressive figures showing a high degree of fitness given the attritional nature of the position.
The performance of the pack was one of the key features in our game last year and at scrum time particularly, where the front row were one of the most dominant in the league.
The nature of the game also requires the ability to react to situations in the loose and all three have shown an abundance of skills with ball in hand in attacking positions.
With this level of experience and the solid platform built last season, we will benefit from keeping these key players together.
Director of Rugby, Adam Balding said “To be able to retain all three props adds real strength to the front 5, Ethan certainly showcased his ability playing comfortably at both tight head and loose head with some notable performances non more so than Rosslyn Park away. Joe Foreman is another consummate professional who drives standards both on and off the field and has shown throughout his time with Birmingham Moseley his technical ability and experience at loose head whilst having a fully fit David Langley back on the field is great for the team and gives the scrum that added dominance that we will be wanting to have around set piece.”
