August’s Community Highlights
This summer has seen some incredible stories from the community game. Nick Warren’s amazing recovery from a brain haemorrhage is one of the highlights, but there have been many more to choose from.
For Game of Thrones fans, the Injured Players Foundation joined up with actors from the universe on the Before the Lights podcast, while the pioneering Muslimah rugby team played their first ever match.
LooseHeadz, the rugby mental health charity, also completed a mammoth 28-hour sevens game.
Maggie Alphonsi delivered a powerful article on creating positive change in rugby, and outgoing RFU President Deborah Griffin spoke on what she’d learnt as the Union’s first female President.
